PROJECTS

Lee Field

Ridge Sports Foundation's first project, undertaken in 2003, was to help finance the placement of artificial turf on Lee Field.   At that time, Ridge High School was one of first schools in Somerset County to accomplish that goal.

The generosity of the Basking Ridge community has made that project an overwhelming success.  This project  literally benefits thousands of students.   In addition to the Ridge High School Students, thousands more children from the Basking Ridge community are able to enjoy the use of the field.   Organizations such as Ridge Youth Sports, Inc, Jr. Red Devils Flag Football, Somerset Hills Soccer, Somerset Hills Lacrosse and Somerset Hills Bulldogs, to name a few are able to provide a top rated facility to keep our children active and involved.

Ridge Sports Foundation Scholarships

Each year, the Ridge Sports Foundation awards one male and one female student-athlete a scholarship.   The philosophy of the Ridge Sports Foundation Scholarship is not necessarily to award the Scholarship to the best athlete but to recognize the student athlete who demonstrates the qualities which we believe best exemplify what High School sports are about.

Ridge Sports Foundation seeks students that confirm the ideals of hard work, being a team player and exhibiting true sportsmanship.

It is perhaps the most difficult task to single out just one male and one female athlete from the incredibly talented list of candidates we have each year.   To date, Ridge Sports Foundation has awarded over $40,000.00 in scholarships to Ridge High School Student Athletes.
